Hillary Death Watch

The Daily News poll of 501 registered New York City voters showing Hillary Clinton trouncing Barack Obama among every ethnic group — even blacks — is about as prescient as a poll asking Bronx residents if they’ll root for the Yanks or Cubs in the World Series. Despite the surge in publicity, most voters don’t know Obama from Joe Biden. Most voters — we know this from an experiment we’ve often conducted — can’t name the two senators from their home state. Second,  Obama is black. Think Harold Ford Jr., who is black, losing the Tennessee senate race because of a racist ad showing a blond bimbo winking and asking him to call her (in the ad, the actress claims she met Ford at “the Playboy party”). Wouldn’t take much to swift-boat Obama.

Likewise Hillary Clinton. Outside of New York City, the good, hard-working, pious, patriotic, Jesus-loving citizens that build the Tomahawk missiles and bunker-buster bombs that have killed so many Iraqi innocents, despise Hillary Clinton with every hick breath they take. To them, she’s a libber with a secret set of brass balls. And she’s a New Yorker.

Which candidate will black king-makers get behind? According to the Post, most black KMers are either behind Hillary, or on the fence.
