For years, we had a recurring dream that we woke up in a supermarket that sold only rice and curry. We’d cook a pot and add the marsala, but just as we put fork to mouth we woke up.
Until last night when we wandered into Kalustyan’s, with more than 20 varieties of rice, from Turkish to basmati to Japanese sticky--we swooned. We bought two kinds--sticky and Thai, plus a big bag of cashews.
