And donate my Christmas presents to Mike Bloomberg

Jennings and Clinton1.jpgRecharger has nothing but admiration
for ex-banker Christine Jennings who is running for Congress from Florida’s 13th District. Though Jennings didn’t graduate from college, she rose from bank teller to bank president. Better yet, she’s a democrat running for arch villain-Republicaan Kathleen Harris’s vacated seat.

Still, during an October 25th fundraiser at the posh Fifth Avenue digs of Christine Bacher, Jennings made a bizarre comment to the assembled, including Congressman Charlie Rangel, Congressman Jerry Nadler, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, and Senator Hillary Clinton: “Don’t buy your grandchildren their birthday present this year,” she begged, “write them a letter and make sure they open it on their 18th birthday. Write that they didn’t get their present because their grandparents decided to invest in their country.”

Uh, Chrstine, don’t know about you, but we don’t want to give our money to bankers running for public office. They’ll spend it on stuff like dinner at expensive restaurants and campaign ads.
