THE ABOVE PHOTO OS ACTRESS MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL APPEARED IN THE OCTOBER 7 ISSUE OF BROOKLYN PAPERS -- a chain of neighborhood tabloids--raising an outcry the likes of which Recharger hasn’t seen since his days as a sensitive-man-in-training in Madison, Wisonsin. Of the hundreds of letters that have poured into the newspaper (printed next to the newspaper’s apology), the main reaction has been shock that the photo would appear in what writers either called a “community paper” or “family paper.” (Memo to outraged parkslopians: kids stopped reading back in 2002). Recharger is ashamed to say that 1) he has never seen Secretary, a family-friendly S&M ditty starring Gyllenhaal about a girl who gets on all fours to deliver mail to her kindly boss and 2) he really really really really likes this photo.
