Jackass Number Three

Bartha.jpgSOMEWHERE UP IN THE SKY WHERE LATE HUSBANDS BITTERLY WATCH EX WIVES WHOOPING IT UP, Dr. Nicholas Bartha must be wishing he were even deader. We remember him blowing up his brownstone last summer (killing himself in the process) in a desperate attempt to stop the ex Mrs. Bartha from getting the property. Now we learn the bidding deadline for the house passed Tuesday September 26th at three pm. Top bids will be selected by Thursday September 28th; the contract will be signed by Wednesday October 4th. Located on East 62nd between Park and Madison, brokers Brown Harris Stevens describe the death location as “a quiet, lovely tree lined street in New York City’s Upper East Side Historic District.” The 20’ x 100.42’ site of Bartha’s spectacular exitus is going for 8 million dollars. Before the explosion, it was worth 9 million. Considering she never has to see her ex again—by all accounts a loony tunes—even at a million less, the widow got a bargain.
